Sarah Staley

Sarah Staley is a passionate English educator, writer, and Ph.D. candidate whose career spans more than 14 years in secondary and post-secondary education. Based in Worland, Wyoming, she currently teaches English at Washakie County School District #1 and serves as an adjunct professor at Northwest College. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering a deep appreciation for literature and writing while helping students discover and refine their own voices. Fluent in German, Sarah brings a multicultural lens to her curriculum, enriching her students’ educational experience with global perspectives.
Outside the classroom, Sarah is the creator and writer behind Porch Light Letters, a reflective writing space dedicated to themes of motherhood, memory, identity, and personal growth. Her essays resonate deeply with women navigating the complexities of modern life, often focusing on resilience, healing, and emotional authenticity. When she's not writing or teaching, Sarah enjoys traveling, camping, and embracing the quiet, restorative moments that come with being in nature. Through both her professional and personal pursuits, she continues to empower others by leading with empathy, storytelling, and a steadfast commitment to growth.
