What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to building a strong, Gold Star technical team from the ground up, along with a lot of self-taught learning—reading textbooks, gaining hands-on experience, and constantly pushing myself to grow. I’ve also focused on helping people understand complex concepts like inverted settings and renewable energy by translating them into clear, simple language so customers can make informed decisions.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to truly listen—not just to respond, but to understand. Taking the time to fully hear the client’s needs before jumping into solution mode has helped me make better decisions and ultimately save time by addressing the real issue the first time.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the field right now is navigating tariffs, company reorganizations, and the shift toward bringing manufacturing back to the U.S. There’s also ongoing tension between pro-oil perspectives and renewable energy progress—but I see an opportunity in continuing to educate others that while current technologies still rely on fossil fuels for transport, solar energy ultimately pays for itself through significantly lower CO2 emissions.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are maintaining a healthy balance between family and work, and being unapologetically outspoken about my beliefs, both professionally and personally.
